Arrive in Marrakech
Let’s begin our photography adventure to Morocco by departing Dublin on a direct flight to Marrakech Menara Airport. Marrakech is home to impressive mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating back to the Berber Empire, with maze-like alleys and thriving marketplaces. At each location, and throughout the entire Moroccan adventure, there will be lots of opportunities to capture amazing shots under the expert eye of our Dublin Photography School tutors. The tutors will discuss how to get the most out of our images with the equipment that we have.
On arrival, let’s meet our local guide and travel to our accommodation in Marrakech. Settle into our riad and get ready for the adventure that awaits us.

In the evening, let’s enjoy a welcome meal which will allow us to get to know our small group of fellow travellers, as well as the Dublin Photography School tutors. There will then be free time to explore the lively Djemaa el Fna Square, where storytellers, acrobats, medicine men, musicians and even snake charmers vie for attention.

Photography session in the morning
Essaouira's medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah, which were designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the fortress walls that still enclose part of the city. Essaouira is a great sport for reportage, documentary & street photography. Let’s enjoy a sunrise photography session at the Essaouira fishing port. Here we will receive tuition and hands-on demonstrations from the Dublin Photography School tutors, to enhance our photography and start seeing the world around us in a different light. There will be plenty of opportunities to capture amazing shots under the expert eye of the Dublin Photography School tutors before we travel back to Marrakech.
Discover the souks of Marrakech
When we arrive back to Marrakesh, let’s enjoy a short introduction to Marrakesh’s world famous bustling and colourful souks where trade and barter still win the day. You will then have free time to continue to explore and photograph independently in the medina area and capture as much of the city’s vibrant colour as you can.
This evening will be at leisure for some last minute sightseeing and the last chance to grab some delicious Moroccan cuisine.
